Hi! I’m Emily.
For over 15 years, I have carried a theme with me through each calendar year. The themes tend to come to me right around New Year's each year, and even though I have an idea for how the theme will probably play out over the course of the coming year - every single time, I find myself surprised and transformed in spite of myself by the learning that unfolds.
The theme of my year for 2023 has been "radiant joy"... And it's always right about this time of the season - a couple of months before the end of the year hits - where things click together for me. My learning starts to integrate and build in a way that is unpredictable and powerful.
And this year is no different.
In honor of my yearly theme, I initiated a challenge for myself. I called it, "The Joy Challenge"... And I'm inviting you to join me if you'd like.
The Joy Challenge:
The basis of this challenge is to experiment with living from joy, and to experience or give legs to the learning about joy that I've gathered in 2023. Here are the basic truths that the challenge is built on:
Joy is the most compelling.
Joy unlocks radiance.
Joy expands what is possible in the present.
Joy makes peace palpable.
Joy is my most potent medicine.
My joy is my strength.
If you decide to join me, here's what you can expect:
Each day this week you'll receive an email based on one of these truths.
Each email will contain a video from me describing my learning around that particular facet of joy, and an invitation into an activity or practice for the day.
I will also be sharing how my own Joy Challenge unfolded throughout the week.
The truth is, you can honestly expect incredible things to unfold this week. I know and believe deeply that when we operate from deliberate joy, we open ourselves to receive so much more abundance than we could anticipate. I expect this week to hold surprise gifts and delight if you’ll open up to them. And I want to share this journey with you.
